From KL fly to Hanoi takes about 3 hours and 20 min. If you fly to saigon/ Ho Chi Minh city is about 45 min – 1 hours journey from KL. And you can image that the hanoi is very far compare to Ho Chi Minh City.
Our flight from KL to Hanoi is at 6.30am, which means that we had to depart to airport by 3.30am . Such a early to wake up .. should be no sleep.. T_T .
Once arrive at Nao Bai airport, Hanoi, our guide Mr. Kha already waiting us at the arrival hall. The 1st message provided by Mr. Kha is, Hanoi only accept vietnamdong. And is better for us to change the money to vietnamdong instead of using USD. But if you at Halong Bay, there is multi-currency place. They accept MYR, USD, SGD, HKD, RMB and etc. So when you at Halong Bay, you will feel fine and enjoyable to spend. Since is multi-currency place.
We direct proceed to the visit Van Phuc Silk village. At there is a small silk factory and you also can purchase the silk there. If you are silk lover, this might be the right place for you.
Then, we proceed to Lunch with Pho 24, we eat the Hanoi famous noodle, which is included in the package, but drink / beverage is excluded.
After lunch, we walk to the 2nd stop point :- Tran Quoc Pagoda, West lake, Temple of Literature (The 1st University of Vietnam), in chinese they said is 孔子庙. A nice place for photo shooting and also can special place for all the graduation student. As this is the 1st university of vietnam. So most of the student will come here for graduate photo.
About 3pm, we proceed to hotel check-in. Take a short break, have a nap. As we are tired since yesterday night.
Around 5pm, we continue our tour to 36 old streets. This is a very beautiful street and there is no traffic light. When you cross the road, you must be careful all the time, the car won’t stop to let you go first. No one will care you. So you take care yourself. Watch out all the time, even you can run when you cross the road. But better you walk slow, as the car there all drive slow. Shutter is provided to bring us cross the 36 street.
After that, we have a break and enjoy our vietnam coffee with our delicious cake.
The 2nd day we proceed to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Vietnamese: Lăng Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh) is a large memorial in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is located in the centre of Ba Dinh Square, which is the place where Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
The One Pillar Pagoda (Vietnamese: Chùa Một Cột, formally Diên Hựu tự 延祐寺 or Liên Hoa Đài 蓮花臺) is a historic Buddhist temple in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It is regarded alongside the Perfume Temple, as one of Vietnam’s two most iconic temples. The unique of this Pagoda is, it is only using one pillar to build it.
After lunch, we proceed to Halong Bay, which take around 3 – 4 hours journey from Hanoi. Once reach Halong bay, we proceed to Royal Casino which only allow for tourist or non-vietnamese. The casino only accepts USD.
Not far from our hotel Grand Halong, there is a night market where you can find a lot’s nice stuff with reasonable price.
The 3rd day – we take 4 hours boat trip in Halong Bay, visit: Paradise Grotto and Wooden Stakes Cave. Lunch on boat with the fresh seafood (no pork).

We Stop at Dong Thien Cung. So amazing Cave. Don’t miss it when you visit Ha Long Bay. I like the way that it was lighted. Make the Cave become so mysterious and beautiful. It challenges your imagination !
If you stand on the bridge to take picture, you will have a nice photo because the bridge is curve At the exit gate, there is a nice area for photo, too. Take photo because you go down.
There also have floating fish market, where you can purchase the seafood on the spot. As the my advice, better don’t purchase as the lunch is prepared.
After the tour, we proceed back to Hanoi for our last tour which is Water Puppet Show ~
A very unique show, only vietnam have it. Whoever visit to vietnam must see this Water Puppet show. The story is about the history of vietnam.
