2012-04-04 20:55:16   638267024   Please avoid Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu by any chance. Based on my personal experience during my stay at this hotel, they have poor service and dishonest staffs. I lost my belongings in my hotel room and I was 200% certain my belongings were there. After contacting the hotel multiple times, they insist they did not find my belongings in my hotel room and refused to give me a proper explanation. I'm horrified with their irresponsible and dishonest staffs. Do not trust their website's room photos because the actual room was old and dirty. The furniture has started to have discoloration and they are still using those old box TV. Receptionists were unhelpful and impolite. My friend even had diarrhea after having dinner buffet at their cafe. Date of stay: 2012 Mar

2008-01-24 08:45:36   Danny Ng   The hotel is a bit old but it is within walking distance (approx 5-10min) to nearest shopping complex such as Centrepoint & Warisan plaza. The taxi is count by trip not by meter. Overall staying here is okay but the tour desk service that offering tour service is expensive compared to your own arrangement. Rgds. The hotel required you to search for the signal in your room before you can connect to the internet. They charging RM30.00 for 24 hours access. Staying at the Junior Suite room which is far and at the end of the long corridor. Junior Suite has an additional small living room and they provide fruit basket and daily newspaper (Borneo Press). Nice seaview. Quite convenient location. A short distance walk to Warisan Square (up-market stores)and leading shopping malls. If you're looking for a day trip to the nearest beaches, approach the tour desk near the lifs (Masenang Tour). Highly recommend. Charge RM40.00 per person for Hassle Free Package (Manukan Island only) and RM190.00 per person for Island Hopping (Manukan, Mamutik, Sapi Islands). Get a free beach towel (need to return it back) from Leisure Club on the first floor. Ms Felicia is very friendly and helpful. They open till late at 7pm. Nice and value for money buffet lunch (RM36.00++) per person. Unfortunately not enough time to try on the Fitness Centre. My friends said it is the best in tour. Date of stay: 2007 Jul

Check in was fast, breakfasts were superb,staff quite friendly, superior room is a bit small but the amenities are all provided. The only setback is the swimming pool is small and facing the cafe. But alternatively u can try their big jacuzzi,or sauna(wet or dry) in seperate men and ladies room which is clean and convenient. The location is great, everything is just minutes of walking distance away. Highly recommended for those who loves shopping.If you need travel service or rent a car the tour agency corner is available at the lobby and the service is quite satisfying. Date of stay: 2007 Apr

2006-03-17 22:08:57   timonn79   It's a great hotel with a nice view, good & friendly service. This hotel has a strategic location- It is near to the shopping area and food stalls. The room is very comfortable with nice sea view.. Everything was good except that I had to wait for 1hours & 40 minutes for the room to be ready. My family & I came all the way from KL early in the morning and we came exactly at 3pm to check-in. We have booked the rooms a month earlier and we expect the room to be ready when we arrived. It's very tiring to wait...:-(.I really hope the hotel management could improve on this matter ... I would be happy to stay again in this hotel & on my next visit, I hope that I will not have to wait so long to check-in .. Date of stay: 2006 Feb

So we when for a walk n came back at around 3-4pm. Later When we came back the staff have change shift and when we approach to another staff he had no idea abt our chk in. The processing of chking our details and our chk in again n again really waste alot of time. other than that it's a good place to stay as it's closed to shopping center n sea food center Date of stay: 2005 Dec

2004-09-17 10:06:10   Feisal   The hotel has a great location. A great base for tour of KK and it's surroundings. Service was also good. However, seaview rooms was not great as it was blocked by Sutera Harbour Golf (under construction). The deluxe rooms are also a bit smallish. All in all still value for money.

2003-12-18 14:56:56   MS DAHLILA   The hotel location was good. Near the sea, walking distance to the shopping mall, souvenirs shops and eating places. However, we are suppose to check in at 2 but we have to wait for about 11/2 hours for the room to be ready. A bit spoit I can say. But the rest was superb.
