Went to bukit merah during the first term school holiday and stayed in the deluxe room at the Laketown Inn. But im very dissappointed with the service. Firstly the checking inn process was very slow only two staff to handle the customer and waited for almost 1/2 hour for our room key. After almost 4 hours of journey to get there it is very dissapointing to wait for long queue. The room was ok clean and comfortable but no carpet which cause the floor to be very cold especially at night. As per the other post here, there will be a loud irritating sound when you open the water tap. It was raining for the two days that we were there and the room was leaking from the roof (we stayed at the highest floor) this situation is dangerous as the wet tiles are slippery especially when you have small children running around. The foodcourt was very poorly maintained with bad tasting food that we decide to eat at the Le Lac Cafe Restaurant for the two days stay, however on our first day we were forced to get the dinner buffet as according to the staff they do not serve ala-carte. Immagine having to spend almost RM100 for my husband and I with two children age 7 and 2. Very stupid, how much can a 7 and 2 year old eat, the very best part a family came in a bit later and ordered ala-carte. When asked the restaurant staff said that the ala-carte menu was not open earlier as there are still a lot of buffet food. Imagine how we felt, we felt conned of money for the stupid buffet spread. To avoid being force to take the buffet dinner we went for dinner at 10pm so that by the time the buffet food has already finish and they cannot force it on us. To makes thinks worst the hotel is also very calculative about the breakfast voucher. As the hotel only give two free breakfast for the deluxe room we had to pay RM 17at the restaurant entrance for our 7 yr old (as if we are gonna run away, they can always charge it to the room upon checking-out). Again how much portion can a 7 year old eat. All hotel i've been too are not so calculative that they would just allow kids below 10 to go in even without the breakfast voucher. The activities that you can do there at night is also very boring and its very far to get to the nearest town, a lot of bazaar selling souvenirs. They also charge for fishing experience, you are not allowed to use your own rod and will be force to rent the fishing equipment. Overall I am very unhappy with the Hotel and its services, having spend almost RM1000/- for the vacation the only thing that me and my husband enjoyed were the RM3/ for 1/2 hour massage chair at the bazaar street to release our tension and dissapointment for coming to Bukit Merah. Worse vacation ever and not worth it even if given free stay.

The ladies at the reception counter were all very stuff-up and unfriendly but the guys staff were very courteous. Funny though but it was true!! Well!! If anyone of you guys are government servants, then you can get a discount for the rooms. Just remember to bring whatever id to show that you are a government servant. I checked into a superior room. Honestly speaking, the rooms were okay. There were a queen bed, a single bed, a pull-out-bed and also a sofa single bed. Enough for 5 adults. But the water tap was terrible, the moment one on the water tap, there was a funny and irritating sound coming out from the tap. Overall, it was quite a satisfactory stay.

Good & nice room at Laketown Inn. No towels during check-in and got it after 4 hours. Nice & tasty breakfirst at Le Lac cafe. Bad condition & cleanliness at Marina Village hawkers stall. Only entered water park with my daughter but not so nice compared to Sunway Lagoon. Overall rating OK but considered not to come again.

Interesting especially our kids. No. The hotel staff all friendly eventhough that day quite busy day for them and at same time we need to change room because we feel it\'s not suitable for our family. They manage to change the room for us within 10 minutes. We have been treated nice by the hotel staff.

This is really a good place for kids. They enjoyed it very much. The ecopark is especially good where kids can be in close contact with animals. They were so excited feeding the animals. The waterpark is however below my expectation, I think Sunway Lagoon and A Famosa are better, but the kids enjoyed it anyway. We are quite dissapointed that the Orang Utan Island was closed because of low water level. The room is okay, not that spacious, but the deluxe room can definitely accomodate 5 person comfortably. Breakfast? Negligible.

Actually I booked for Palm View Apartment, but the apartment is already closed so they upgrade it to this Laketown Inn Hotel. It was a bit confused and a bit hassle because CUTI did not tell that the Apartment was closed. Anyway, the hotel standard room can cater for 4 persons and that is amazing. It has one queen bed, 1 single bed and 1 pull-out bed. And I saved a lot because I paid for the apartment but got to stay at the hotel which is more expensive actually. Other than that nothing special about the hotel.
Maybe CUTI could include the new apartment, the CULTURE ZONE. Its new and looks nice.

Well , this is my 1st time to Bkt.Merah ! Very excited and finally reached there after a 3 hours journey . Due to my stay there is not public holidays , so i dont see crowd there . After checking in in laketown inn , i'm very happy with the room ! Very nice and clean and spacious .
I really enjoy the waterpark , ecopark and the orang utan island ! Interesting place . I also went on a sunset cruise and i love it very much ~ Due to my packages has included my breakfast and park tickets , i have no worries about these .
The buffet i had there is good . The food is good but not much for me to choose ( mb is not school holidays , i guess ) The restaurant waitress n waiters are very polite but too bad they dont really understand english so i need to speak bahasa Malaysia to them .
The funny part is when i was on a paddle boat ride , a malay worker told me " kamu naik dulu...saya panggil itik ." haha..'coz i bought some duck feed so he whistled and the ducks come swimming around the boat . While paddling , i feed the duck ! Cute huh ~
Ecopark is good but i was expecting a good animal show , but only parrot do the acting ~ And , orang utan island is great , i got the chance to see the "king" of orand utan there and they eat chocolate ~ Of 'coz there are babies orand utan...very cute ~
I really enjoy and love this trip and i will be visiting Bkt.Merah again !

Went there for a family trip. Parents ended up at the Apartments but we decided to go for the Laketown Inn.
The reception was confusing. When we placed the reservation, we were not informed that there were separate receptions for each lodging type. So we ended up going in circles.
When we arrived in the room, it smelled a bit dank as if left closed for too long. It was during the night that I realised why it smelled so! The air-conditioning was dripping like nobody's business! And nearly drowned my luggage (good thing the bag was waterproof so my clothes were safe).
As earlier reviewer, the waterpark is more suited for kids (and I had higher expectations as I was comparing against sunway lagoon) . The other activities although more suited for adults (nature walks and such), having a baby with me made me decide against trying these out.
Food - breakfast was ok. Had dinner both nights at the nearby rest & relax stop off the highway (since we found a back road heading there)
Don't think I will be back.

Pernah 2 kali menginap di sini. Kali pertama mendapat superior room. Kali kedua menginap di Kelisa Emas. Biliknya sungguh besar. Provided for 2 but can squeeze until 7-8 person. Waterpark staff very friendly. Thanks to Jasni(staff). Bringing me to all places. Recommended here. But the swimming pool is quite small and the waterpark is mostly suitable only for kids. But, will be coming again.

Certainly the best spot to stay when visiting Bukit Merah. I've stayed at the deluxe room. Pretty basic but clean & comfortable. The only complaint is the buffet breakfast where the food selection was below par. Overall a satisfying experience and will not hesitate to return in the future.

Probably the best hotel at Bukit Merah due to the walking distance to all places of interest.
Though it claimed to have in house movie, however can't find the channel for the vision four during my stay. Anyway, we have so much fun at outdoor activities.
