2011-02-08 22:19:23   dolpheen   The hotel was a disappointment. Though it was rather reasonably priced, it is definitely not value for money. The room is old and run down with bare minimum amenities. Toilet door reminded me of the old 'kampung' door (warped and worn out). Bath towels are embarrasingly grey (supposedly originally white). Blankets reminded me of the hospital beds in the 80s. Breakfast is the least pleasing. You could get much better tasted food on the street shops. I had to use a recycled, disposable coffee spoon that has a broken handle. Staff are approachable, though, but lack customer service instinct. A similar amount paid at a KL hotel thereafter gave me much more satisfaction and value for money. Date of stay: 2010 Feb

The only staff that are really helpful at this hotel is Mr. Razlan (front office)... The other indian girl at front office (forgot her name) are really not helpful at all....same with other staff....just imagine I'm carrying two big bags.....and they only look at me....I accidentally drop my bags....and nobody even concern to help me....huh...what a staff... The only things that is run smoothly is when I get my key... This hotel is really old hotel....need to refurbish everything including the lift.....not only the furniture...but also the staff.....most of them are 45++ I think......need to do something....coz make a lot of noise.....and I'm staying at 17th floor...just imagine....how long I have to pray that we can go up and down safely... Talking about towel.....when we arrived...there is no towel available in the room.....lucky when we ask for towel....within 30 minutes...it came.... but on the next day after make up the room....they took the towel and did not return back or replace it.....when I ask for it....until I check out the towel is not even there....huh what more can I say. Breakfast......hmm.....i think if they said breakfast is not available is better than breakfast is provided....my comments is, if you want to provide breakfast....please...and please provide good food.... Cleanliness of the hotel also need to be improved.....the parking lot is look like an abondon place...can't sleep peacefully at night.... Swimming pool (level 23) are under renovation when I staying here.....but when I look at the swimming pools.....It's ok....nothing happen there.....not even small renovation is going on. It's was a very big dissappoinment for my kids.....huh...Next time...when you do a reservation with cuti.com, please make sure they 100% know the status of the hotel.. Date of stay: 2009 Dec

2009-06-09 01:48:11   nickersonpoh   i stayed there for 2night. I would give a few bad and good points. Let's start with the bad points. The room is not fully equip. You've gotto ask alot of things from the house keeping(etc, towel,cup,shower gel). The fridge is not working at all. The swimming pool is full with kids,no adult swimming. The buffet breakfast certainly need to improve. i went there this morning and guess what i see? most of the food is finish. shouldnt it suppose to be a buffet? anyway,that can be improve. The good point however, the room is clean. Yes,you do not have vision 9 channel in the tv show,but u have the neighbourhood country channel. Besides,the receptionist is very friendly. Last but not the least.the hotel looks old form the outside,but it's nice from the inside. and for the price you're paying,it's reasonable,worth,and save time because of the fantastic location,right in the middle of the city. 2009-03-20 12:18:02   elynchua   I was staying at 16th storey, nice view, The Komtar Building, sea view & ferry services just in front of my window. The location is very good. Nearby there is a Gama Shopping Mall, quite convenience and also walking distance to Komtar & Perangin Mall. The room is clean, room service also very good. The only bad thing is very old sofa set in my room, we dare not sit on it. Overall we felt quit satisfactory in term of the price, services & location. Date of stay: 2009 Mar

2009-01-30 20:40:41   nenson   I stayed there for three nights ,is quite suprise for first day I checked in because I never seen such and old hotel it was . First , broken ceilling I saw , then an old ditry and hot air-cond ( I have to switch on whold day to keep cool ) ,and carpets is not clean at all , old furniture ,Lastly dusty electric wire hiding behind the table. For breakfast is ok , what I'm satisfied is they have provide customer a parking space and helpful staffs. Date of stay: 2009 Jan

2008-06-03 17:05:25   windza   Look old from outside. Inside is not so bad. They had refurbished the room I'm in with new wardrobe and tv. Bedsheet is clean, bathroom is just ok. Got parking inside. My only problem is the guest service took 2 hour plus to get us an iron. All in all not bad. Date of stay: 2008 Jun

2008-02-10 13:29:43   dorothyloader   The service was ok, the staff were helpful and courteous. However, the broadband internet charges for in-house guest is a little high. If I am not mistaken, TMNet offers quite a competitive rate. I understand that most 5 star hotels provide free internet excess but a 4 star hotel that I went to in Malacca charged RM20 for 24 hours. It would be good if the Hotel Management were to look into this to upgrade their services. There is also no HBO or Vision 4 on their TV channels and this can also be considered to make guest feel more at home. Date of stay: 2008 Feb

2007-11-16 09:38:45   lily_zuri   a)Overall i'm very satisfy especially with location of the hotel , very near to the KOMTAR.. so we spend our evening watched movie at Prangin Mall .. then shopping ... b)room are okay to me coz i'm not very "cerewet" person c) Just a few comments .. --> no kettle in room, so we can't boil or make coffee.. just to lazy to call for room service --> we ask for iron but we are told to use iron at floor 9 .. if i'm not mistaken --> they give us room with two twin beds so we just arrange the furnitures... --> the breakfast just okay ... not very variety of meals... 2007-04-02 16:23:11   nanarizqman   I stayed in the 'continental room' for RM150.00 inc. 2 breakfast. 1. the room is OK 2.the breakfast is OK-variety of food (nasi lemak, noodle, bread, waffle,poridge,cereal. 3.location is OK, about 100 meter from GAMA supermarket and a mamak restaurant. 4. staff is OK but very lazy to answer phone call. (but we managed to get our towle and babycot in a short time.tq.) But I would definitely try other hotels eg. sunway,cititel,in the future since this hotel is quite old. Date of stay: 2007 Mar

2006-12-11 09:26:45   meimei   I was disappointed with the service provided. My family and I plan to have a good bath after check-in to the hotel. To our surprise, there was no towel given. We got our towel after request and need to wait for quite some time. Anyway, that was still consider ok. The worst thing was there were cockroaches around the room. We even find little cockroaches inside the bedsheet. That was so disgusting and make us can't sleep well. The switches in the room also a bit losen and cause short-circuit as we try to boil water. Some of the switched even can't function at all. The hot water provived is not hot at all. The only things that I feel ok is the breakfast. Although not much choices, but, it tasted fine. I hope there will be improvement taken as it affects the image the hotel and as well as the image of our country. Date of stay: 2006 Dec

The only best thing is its strategic location in the town centre - just minutes of walking distance to KOMTAR and Prangin Mall. Also nearby to few of famous eatery places in downtown. Safety is not up to mark - no reliable room lock and access to car park has no security. Food (breakfast) was not much choices but tastes okay. Date of stay: 2006 Jul

2005-12-24 16:39:34   hunterx2010   i would say the service is too poor. i requested the towel for more than an hour to get it.... and the staff service is not really that good n polite. they don even greet or anything. i cant believe it is a 3 star rating hotel. the breakfast is the only satisfied part which give a complete meal.
