2011-11-03 15:08:26   iqchong   I stayed during Merdeka and before Raya holiday, took the 3D/2N package. - Beach is great. - Pool is great on the first day, it has not been cleaned on the second day morning. - Room is nice & clean but show it ages. - The only complaint was food. Breakfast is ok but lack of choice. Free lunch (included in the package) waited for 45min and didn't what they gonna served us until the dish arrived. Buffet dinner felt lack of hygiene, lots of fly. 2011-05-15 20:57:37   calvinng   Actually, we stayed this hotel during 14th May and 16th May 2011 as this "date of stay" only allowed to update till year 2010. This hotel is a bit old and not much activity from it. Air-Cond sound quite loud and we request to change another room. Breakfast simple, room TV and swimming pool very small. Coffee house staffs not really warm plesant . Room towle not change eventhough we stayed for 3 days 2 nights after room service. Overall ranking not satisfied of this hotel. Date of stay: 2010 May

2010-04-12 17:56:35   ainunr   my experience here meets expectation as we checked in around 12.45am.after a long journey from k.l, we decided to checked in. i have not made any reservation, however, the front desk staff managed to be friendly and polite. the room is okay with all the amenities properly functioned. breakfast is limited but the taste is acceptable. my children enjoyed the pool.it was clean. we had a nice experience here and plan to stop by again in the future. 2009-12-31 11:19:22   Neira   Overall is quite alright and meet my expactation even though the aircond of the hotel room is not working so well when we checked in. But it has been sorted out and aircond was excellent after that. The staff is friendly & the food is ok. Though not much of a choice, but "sedap". The beach is clean & my daughter love the sand... For dinner, choose properly on the outside "kedai makan". We went to this Karaoke Malay Kedai Makan (which have got colourful lights) and we had "Ikan Siakap" & kerang bakar which is not was bad lagi expensive. They don't even have a menu and other fish to serve. Even the staff was stuckup as if they are the only kedai makan there. Good luck for those who planned their Holidays to Cherating.... Cheers.... 2009-06-26 02:08:30   erie   good and nice place to stay... try suria suite...very nice room with decoration and big hall for children..... toilet okay.... u can watch your child swimming in the pool from room window.... everything in one place......practical.... from your room....4-5 step to the lift....down 4-5 step...to restaurant/pool/lobby/car park and 4/5 step to the beach....save time... from resort....drive ure car..to main road.. turn left.....2 minutes....at ure right u' ll see a stall...selling nasi lemak,nasi dagang,nasi berlauk all in one price rm 2.00 per pack/serv...very chip and delicious.... drive ahead...about 2 kilometres u 'll reach traffic lights....turn right towards..monica bay signboard...3 minutes u'll see stalls selling otak -otak rm 6.00 for 10pcs.also keropok lekor.....i tell u it's delicious !!!.... for me...this resort is one of practical place to stay...i will go again next time !! awey debey, batu caves selangor. 2008-10-29 14:58:05   sas7678   For almost RM 1K for 2 nights, 2 deluxe room sea view over a weekend is really not worth. The facilities - no internet connection (out of order), pool game can't be used, table tennis - broken balls. We have to buy our own ping pong balls outside shop about 5 km away. The location of table tennis table is not suitable, a left over space between walkway (quite tight for table tennis game) Inside the room the fridge is empty. We have only 1 cup and a spoon, Luckily we have a TV and air-cond work!. Hardly any beach activities, except swimming. We can find equipments for team building activities. This is not we are here for. The plus point :- 1) My 2 younger kids only enjoyed the swimming pool. 2) The breakfast is acceptable, due to some food variety. Conclusion:- wouldn't go for a second trip there, unless it's for free. Date of stay: 2008 Oct

We have spent hours searching for new room as the one that we booked was at the ground floor with damaged sliding doors!. Another thing is that the food there were not so good. Anywhere, there have more facilities in the resort and free of charge at all like gyms, steam bath.... If next time we go will stay around 2 night against. Keep it up.... Date of stay: 2008 Feb

I alrdy send requiry to the hotel, and because alrdy full payment, so need the hotel delay my check-in date. Hope that this hotel can make it well for me. 2007-10-24 12:02:50   Naha   At first we only book for one night but the kids enjoyed being there so we book another night. Everything was ok except for the housekeeping service which is very slow. I noted they had foreign workers, had trouble making them understand what we need. There was no notice to hang on the door knob to let the hosekeeper whether to clean or don't disturb us. We had few instances where they tried to enter the room but we did not want them to make the room. I truely love the surrounding especially walking by the beach during early morning. 2007-10-09 12:38:26   Peter Gregory   Really enjoyed the weekend. Plusses are: 1- Beach much better than main Cherating beach- view fabulous. Some jellyfish though in October. 2- There are tables at the water's edge. 3- The staff were very friendly (a bit shy!) 4- The Malay food was excellent, the western food- snacks very good, but main meal- pretty bad! Stick to Malay food if poss! Negatives: 1- Pool VERY small 2- Amazingly, no rooms have balconies 3- No alcohol served, but not sure if one can blame the hotel for that! 4- Reservations were difficult, but later making a change was easy, and reception easy too. Well i placed the booking about three months before the actual day of my holiday!!!! and when i ask them whether the room is available, they say yes it is available! and they told me not to worry when i called them yet again another time, two weeks before the holiday, they say everything is ready and that i can come and stay at the reserved date!!!! BUT when the day came... I was halfway through my journey to Cherating, to the resort... I got a call from them... Saying that "SORRY! WE DONT HAVE ANY ROOM FOR YOU... ALL OUR ROOM IS FULL AND WE CANNOT HELP BUT TRANSFER YOU TO THE OTHER HOTEL NEARBY!!!!" Wat is this suppose to mean?? I am halfway through the journey and you told me that the two days that i booked is no longer available? Wat is the point of booking three months ahead? When i when there to talk to them face to face, the hotel people tell me that the whole entire hotel is full... they take my reservation and book me into the other hotel! If i want to stay in the other hotel i will book it myself no need you all to do it for me!!!! isnt this hotel suppose to practise first come first serve? THEN WAT IS THE USED OF RESERVATION????????? I dont understand and i am really angry with this kind of service! Cant you tell us right from the start there is no room instead of taking our reservation!! I travelled all over but this is the first time i face this kind of problem! Please work on it before you lose more customers!!!! Date of stay: 2006 Aug

2006-03-20 10:25:50   mimazlan   Suria has a nice sorrounding, a well located beach and at that time I the moon is full and the scenery is Fantastic! as the moon shines over the horizan onto the seas.. my family stayed on the beach watching the people fishing until late at night. The crowd is well suited with us, the hotel staff is friendly and room is ok. Breakfast have to be improved though! but as the resort is near to the border of Terrengganu, there are a lot of choice to eat outside. Date of stay: 2006 Mar
