2011-07-19 15:51:28   foongsh   We booked the superior room (new wing) at Cuti which when we finished our stay, we found out that it was a suite. Not too sure why because the reception didn’t inform us that we were upgraded or anything like that. Anyway, we had a great stay..the room was big and clean (hilltop 3). My parents-in-law stayed next door at hilltop 4 which was smaller with no bathtub (the reception mentioned it was a superior room), nevertheless it was cosy, clean and cheaper … Read in their room brochure that Smokehouse had done major improvement/renovation in 2010. Our bathroom came with a bath tub with ample supply of hot water. My son enjoyed swimming in the bath tub although it was cold outside!...Flat screen tv, welcome drinks (tea/coffee) at the reception, fruit basket in the room, good quality amenities and bathrobe were all provided… We enjoyed our good quality full traditional English breakfast every morning which came complimentary with the room..The hotel compound was very beautiful. Smokehouse is an icon in Cameron. Many tourist came and took photos but privacy of hotel guest is strictly guarded and tourist were not allowed to enter if they are not staying or having a meal there. Tourist were able to take photos outside the Smokehouse. Only setback about staying in our room is that the back of our room faces the main road so it can be noisy but by 12a.m onwards it was quiet because not much cars driving past.. 2008-11-19 19:27:25   akun44   I am also facing the same treament from the staff....they think ...they work there....they can be a "COLONIAL" or "TUAN". I would suggest to CUTI to get rid this HOTEL from its list. So...rude!!! Date of stay: 2008

2008-10-28 00:07:26   susanong   i have to admit what sily22's comment ... we faced the same problem. That time I was with my hubby and another friend couple. We were at reception to have a look n the reception lady just kind of shoo us away saying that we are not guest n thus, not allow to have a look. Well, we were properly dress and not even wearing slippers !!! As sily22 said ... the lady reception was trying to say 'heh, u cant afford here, so get off'' ... that is so dissapointing. I know if they are trying to maintain their best, buttt ... tis is not the way to treat customers :-( Date of stay: 2008

2008-05-31 21:17:18   sily22   Just drop by to check out the area only before even stay at the hotel and very disappointed with the services. The staff there very rude. The moment we walk in only they say if you are not the guest you are not allow to step in. Very bad attitude. They see us like "you-cant-afford-to-stay-at" this hotel kind of attitude. Follow us everywhere. I wonder how they got the "Superb Service Award". Date of stay: 2008
