2009-08-17 17:31:59   nooridi   It was our first time stay @ the hotel. First impression is excellent on the hotel building, lobby and reception staff. The room condition is good to us. Only that the housekeeping to check on the bed skirting which was torn and can be seen obviously. We got difficulty in the restroom because the flushing pressure was quite slow and very difficult to flush away. Other thing, there was no hose at the toilet. The breakfast variety was average. 2008-06-21 09:02:23   ms Iki   Horrible!Horrible!Horrible! ....It was the worst hotel I ever stayed. Very deceiving!! Looks impressive from the outside especially with an Avillion sign...but wait till you get into the room. What stupid hotel procedure that does not allow extra towels???!!Luckily the housekeeping people was more sensible in seeing that I have two small children and they provided me with 2 extra towels. The electrical appliances was terrible namely the kettle..rusty and top cover was detached. it kept boiling even when it was already time to stop. If I hadn't look inside my water in the kettle would have dried out due to the excessive boiling. The carpets and ceiling were in bad shape. I didn't like the toilet due to some personal cultural reasons. The breakfast was horrible...I've never been to a hotel that I would rather only eat the cereal with fresh milk for breakfast. It is THAT horrible. The taste and the choice was bad. Serious maintenance, renovation and proper management is required. I actually booked for 2 nights, couldn't stand it, checked out after one night. Never coming back again and spreading the word to my company in not putting this hotel in the list of choices for any events or anyone staying in melaka in future. Date of stay: 2008 Jun

2008-01-19 15:34:58   aznur95   Very nice hotel. Swimming pool is small. Breakfast not so variety. Their staff are very friendly. During our visit there, 1st night we were surprised by the teenager ran outside our room's windows. Scary thing. So we did a complaint, hotel staff came into our room, take care all of the problem then explain to us. Thanks god, it was not a ghost, hahah, just the school children play at the outside corridor (not a corridor actually). We changed the room tomorrow with no question ask and smile. I think its good to have a tourist guide at your lobby. Date of stay: 2008 Jan

2007-12-23 12:28:25   elaine82   a female staff in the reception is very unpolite. i booking a room that have a queen or king size bed, but when i reach there, i found out the hotel offer me a twin single bed. when i ask at the reception, the female staff told me that because i didn't direct booking the room from the lagacy hotel so they didn't offer me the queen or king size bed room first. when i ask she can i have the double bed room? do u know what she answer? she say need to wait. i ask again how long i need to wait? she answer " I DON'T KNOW!!! YOU MUST WAIT!! BECAUSE YOU BOOKING OURS ROOM BY OTHER WEBSITE. IF YOU BOOKING OURS ROOM DIRECT FROM OURS HOTEL, I WILL OFFER YOU THE DOUBLE ROOM NOW" after that, she also didn't smile and say thank you to me. i always stay at the 3 star hotel. this is my first time stay at 4+ star hotel, but i am really disappointed with the female staff's attitude. the other 3 star hotel more better than it. 2006-06-14 15:34:14   wkw   The hotel is nice. I'm so excited when i first step in the hotel's lobby. So amazing...beautiful! However, the swimming pool is so small for a five star hotel. No towel provided after you swim. You have to bring your own room's towel and the worst is you cannot get extra towel! Only TWO towel's per room. So, everytime the towel is wet you have to call the housekeeping for exchange. Another thing is the breakfast provided is not as what i expect for a five star hotel. Little and not tasty. 2005-09-10 17:24:14   alfredkee   I stayed at The Golden Legacy Hotel on October 2004 for the first time visit to Malacca. The room/bathroom is nice and excellent as if you stayed at 5 stars hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is closed by the owner property due to contract expire. Looking forward to visit again if the hotel re-open for business. Date of stay: 2004 Oct
