2010-08-31 21:45:10   monicaj5   If you go to Malacca with a family and not so fussy, this is a good hotel. The only hiccup I encounter was during check-in. I had shown my Cuti.com hotel voucher, and yet the hotel front desk said it is only a form of reservation, and my card only will be charged if I did not show up after 7pm. I had paid to Cuti.com using Fast Track option, and my credit card has already been deducted. I told the Front Desk that the room has been paid, if necessary check with Cuti.com or their own account dept. Of course it's weekend and they could not verify that. They still asked me to show proof that I had paid. I was very upset, I felt like a criminal, that I had to proof myself! Luckily my husband was there to cool me down, and they had internet facility at the lobby and I used my correspondence with cuti.com to show that I indeed had made payment. From there onwards, everything else was smooth. Only that all 4 of us could not sleep because it was Saturday night, our room was facing the main road, and there were illegal racing continue until the wee hours. For the above hiccup, pls ensure that this does not happen again. It is so embarrasing to me as a customer. Date of stay: 2010 Aug

2010-03-07 16:35:57   mfirdausabs   Just came back from a 2-night stay at this hotel. We are a family of 4 adults & 1 infant. We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite. Overall we are satisfied. Room is big & clean. However the aircond units are very old and not very cold. One of the unit in the bedroom making strange noises. Water is murky. We need to let the tap run for few minutes before actually boiling the water. Sometimes we had a hard time controlling the temperature of the hot shower. Front desk/operator is very good and friendly, particularly one Mr. Syahrul who handle my initial phone inquiry and check in as well. Room is very well equipped; refrigerator, cups, glasses, electric cooker, electric hobs, cupboard. They also have few satellite tv channel on and free wifi. Complimentary bottled water and coffee/tea bags were arranged on the large dining table upon our arrival. Free basement parking is also available. Swimming pools are large enough and clean. Buffet breakfast & room service menu are not bad. Definitely will stay with them again if we return to Melaka. Date of stay: 2010 Feb

2009-12-14 15:59:42   rizal.sha   The hotel was good and staff there quite warm and friendly. We stay in Famosa Suite, the hall quite ample, got mini kitchen but we dont cook. Can occupied to 5 persons actually. Only one thing I am dislike is, the toilet is small and narrow.. feel uncomfortable when you do your 'business', especially people with big size one... hehe... Breakfast nice but not so variety. Location quite nearby the city but still ok for us to go Afamosa and having dinner Ikan Bakar at Umbai.. Date of stay: 2009 Dec

2009-05-09 17:17:52   lelaiskandar   I went to Straits Meridian with no expectation. After all there are so many 3 stars hotel in Malaysia that comes with facilities and service of a public toilet. But this place surprised me. Here are why :- 1. The staff smiles. 2. The location is very strategic - right between Ayer Keroh and Malacca City. It's easier to get anywhere. 3. The apartment. For Rm120 + RM30 ( I went during peak season) the room is really spacious and the hall is big enough for my 2 kids to play. 4. All the facilities work. Most 3 stars hotel have broken this and that .. but eventhough many of the facilities are old and worn, they work. 5. Ample parking space in front (they belong to the Majlis and you have to pay) but I don't think you need it since there's parking at the back. And I saw a pak guard manning the entrance at night. In short, if I'm going to Malacca, this will be my first choice. Date of stay: 2009 May

Althought from outside the hotel looks old but the rooms are ok....we request for 1room apartment with queen size bed, the hall quite big...... just want to comment about the aircond not cold and the blanket quite old . but overall we love stay in here easy to find foods , big swimming pools and easy access to all roads....... will come back here next visit.. 2008-04-28 14:22:45   azlean   I suka memilih hotel ni sebab ada kemudahan memasak (bawa periuk dan alatan sendiri). Bilik besar (karpet lama), ruang tamu, dapur dan ruang makan lengkap. B/fast oklah.. not bad.. Kolam pun memuaskan cuma tiap kali datang ada KELAS RENANG di kolam dewasa. Menggangu guest yang datang utk berenang secara bebas. Air kolam pun agak kotor dan dihujung kolam dewasa sangat berbau busuk.. ada rumah stor agaknya.. Date of stay: 2008

2004-07-27 15:31:24   amirul   Gambar di atas sebenarnya diambil daripada sebelah belakang hotel. Mula-mula tu saya sangka di hadapan. Walau bagaimanapun, tak susah mencari hotel ini kerana dekat dengan TESCO. Apartment 1 bilik yang saya sewa pun sesuai untuk diduduki oleh 4 orang atau lebih. Ada kitchen cabinet dan dapur serta peti sejuk dan meja makan. Cuma yang membuatkan saya kurang berpuas hati ialah kebersihan bilik tidur (carpet) dan tandas.

2004-07-17 11:28:17   zaidtgk   Dari luar tak menarik, tapi bila dah masuk, memang nice, bilik seperti aparment. anak boleh tidur diruang TV, spouse boleh tidor kat bilik dan boleh dikunci. Swimming poll memang best. 2 kolam(besar / kecil). Sesuai untuk keluarga 4 anak.
