Room is tidy and clean as well, although the whole hotel and its items are quite old, I still think this hotel worth the money paid. The swimming pool is nice, but the private beach of Lanai is not that good compare to neigbouring hotels as there are more rubbish and not sea water not that clear. Anyway, for the money I pay, consider acceptable. Date of stay: 2009 Sep

2009-07-20 16:04:04   firdauz25   my 4d3n 9/7/09-12/7/09 in lanai is good. the resort is worth the money spent. the pool, the beach location, the services are not bad too. the things can be improve is the breakfast buffet should be more variety. the food price is a bit pricey too ( at hut at the beach) . overall, the resort is good. wont have any issue going there again. Should have pool attendant coz' observed some parent dip directly in kiddy pool after coming from the beach. Queen bed for room are not large enough, a let down. Breakfast lacks variety, should improve. No Hotel Directory, room phone no instruction. These are actually standard with all Hotels. Imagine having foreign guest..? 2008-01-30 11:18:31   Ravi.M   Went with my wife and 5 years old son for 2 nights stay after attending Thaipusam in Penang. very quiet and relaxing, good place for honeymooners and those who like to spend time by reading books. However, we could not hv a good sleep as the aircond was very noisy. We hv asked the maintenance to repair it but after the repair the noise was still apparent. The hot water for shower was on and off. Asked for another room but we were told that no room available. The majoririty of the guests are foreigners (but they were very courteous and friendly) and for those who are very particular with the malaysian culture, please avoid this place as the foreigners are always in their swim suit, enjoying themselves with hugs and kissess ( I don't think they are wrong as they are here to spend time with the loved ones). Very nice and clean beach. Breakfast are so-so only. Near to Pantai Cenang, so in terms of food, there are variety of sumptous local and western food. Date of stay: 2008 Jan

Relaxing chair's are arranged nearby sandy beach. I also enjoy the candle light dinner at Lanai's beach restaurant. Not much to tell abt BFT but nice. Good arrangement. KEEP it Up. 2007-11-28 18:23:26   Linda_adam   Stayed for 2 nights. To us this hotel is o.k. The staff of the hotel were all friendly. As for breakfast, can't complaint much...after all, you get what you pay. The hotel lobby however, should be refurbished and redecorated. Make it more lively. Maybe can add more grean plants...fake one will also do. The hotel is suitable for couples who want a peaceful and quiet holiday. If we visit Langkawi again, we wil probabaly choose this hotel...again... Date of stay: 2007 Nov

2004-12-30 18:57:06   maggielow   i went there on Hari Raya 2004, the room that we stayed is on the ground floor and it is very very small especially the bathroom. and the room & bed is not clearn and smelly. i still remember the tea bag that the hotel prepared for us is without any cover & just leave it on the "coconut bowl"!!! it is really dirty!!!! the breakfast also not nice and not much of variety. i'm really quite disappointed with this hotel.....

2003-05-19 09:13:48   roslina jaafar   We (myself,hubby &daughter) checked in on 15/5/03 & c/out 16/5/03 but dissapointed when there wasn't any room facing the sea, when asked the reply was there's none but only for staff hostel (the one that I appointed). No refrigerator, no vision 4 but still we can accept, next morning breakfast nasi lemak w sambal & kacang only? No other condiments, after a while then the hard boiled eggs came. What? No spoon? Never mind use the fork, no FRESH juices only CORDIALS, simple fried kway teow (kway teow & beansprout), but my hubby decided to extand the stay due to my daughter loves the pool & it's nearby the sea but B 4 we ask to extend our stay we did ask the reception about the occupancy (not the percentage but the availability) which they told us there's lot of rooms but unfortunately when we ask to extend stay & change room to face the pool, suddenly the hotel are fully booked? At night we took the initiative to ask for our breakfast coupon & still for next day breakfast (17/5/03) nasi lemak w sambal & (only 2 condiments -kacang & boiled eggs), fried beehoon & thick cordial & coffee/tea without the saucer. Both of us were ex-hoteliers (5 stars in KL) but we don't expect 3 star to be like 5 star service or facilities but at least something rather than too less... even the reception has no courtesy in a way of friendliness, efficient, and please...... the SMILE!!! Make it friendly and sincere smiles not somebody with a knife pointing at the back smiles. One more thing let the agent not to confirm with the guests about room facing the view and even the guy at the reception DID re-confirmed it was a seaview front which we had garden? more like jungle view. Even in the internet it says that 5 star?
