D-Villa Residence Kuala Lumpur is a 20-storey service and hotel apartment, located in the prestigious living environment within the exclusive embassies district of Kuala Lumpur. It was opened in December 2003 and is located strategically along Jalan Ampang, close to the Central Business District of Kuala Lumpur and lying on the fringe of the Golden Triangle. It is surrounded by shopping arcade, dining and entertainment outlets,office buildings and embassies.
The hotel is conceptualised as "changing worlds within our world" where a guest will experience an olden typical Chinese Straits Born motif at the reception and lobby. As the guest walks through, the "changing of the world" concept is carried through to the lift lobby and passageway and finally the guest is greeted with the modern and contemporary designs in his/her room.

Strengths - I stayed in a 2 bedroom apt and find it spacious. The is a strong security presence. Housekeeping was up to standard although musty smell is prevalent in the rooms and in the lift area.
Area for improvements:
1. Why restrict hotel guests to park at B2 where there is no lift at that level to the rooms and guests have to walk up the stairs to the lobby. If the holiday apartment suites are to serve customers then better adopt the attitude that customer is king and B1 which have a lift should be opened to customers.
2. Only one set of key is given and it is greatly inconvenient as we have two families staying in the 2 bedroom apt. This is more poignant when one need to have a card to gain access to the floors. After alighting family members at the lobby, the driver who must parked at Level B2 will have to walk up the stairs to meet up with the family members so that he can gain access to the floors. If the family members go up to their room first, the driver will be stranded as he cannot access the lift without a card.
3. If one drives in infront of the hotel, it would be inconvenient to park your car at the hotel car park after unloading your luggage/pax as you need to drive out of the hotel and come in again. I don't know how one can do it as there is a no-right turn at the exit of the hotel - and one has to do a right turn to come back into the hotel!
4. Lastly, the receptionist can improve their proficiency in English.

Good and enjoyable trip as usual. Because i\'ll be visiting KL for every school holiday. I like the food there and i like to stay at any new hotel there.

The room is okay, even though the view is slightly blocked. No bath tub in a 1 room apt.. Parking area is slightly scary, as not many cars parked over there (B2). A little bit worry about the safety but at the end, nothing happened. I knew that the security is doing their job. No chance to taste the F&b, as mine was not included breakfast. Front desk is friendly. Overall, i am satisfied.
