Jerejak Island or Pulau Jerejak, as it is locally known, is an islet located off the island of Penang, Malaysia. A virtually undisturbed island graced with the rich diversity of 362ha of over 210 species of flora and fauna. Towering tropical trees, lingering lianas and exotic orchids prove to be shelters to some of the most remarkable living creatures, such as the Monitor Lizard and the White-Bellied Sea Eagle. Pulau Jerejak has a unique flora and fauna and is home to a certain species of the sea eagle which has chosen to roost on the island.
The island also boasts of an ancient emerald environment, older than the equatorial forests of the Amazon, thus producing a marvelous ecosystem that is both inspiring and engaging. Equally intriguing is the island's history as a penal colony - a mystical touch to the surrounding pristine nature.
Pulau Jerejak is only minutes away from Penang city life yet tucked away among the magnificence of a lush tropical rainforest; also known as the "virgin jungle" island as it is one of the few remaining preserves of primary forest in Malaysia.
Jerejak Island Resort, is a new resort completed in 2003 set amidst virgin jungle of Pulau Jerejak. It is every nature lover’s dream come true. Coupled with her rich historical background, a holiday here promises to be refreshingly different.
Relics and artifacts share a home with the rich flora and fauna of this island. Get ready for an adventure as you step into one of the few remaining rainforests of Malaysia.

I stay here some time ago, and i think overall it is good. The staffs there are very friendly and they will always greet you and make you feel welcome. The room is very nice and spacious.
The pool is well maintain and warm.
The food is alright and the price is average compare to hotel prices.
There are just a lot of activities here, wouldnt mind to come back and stay again, if they put in hard work to maintain the enviroment and the place since this resort is considered quite new.

Very poor welfare towards the participants of teambuilding. 1 ½ hour suffering from sick with unattended and awaiting for the staff to render a so called SICK BAY key is really unacceptable and unforgivable. I’ve learn my lesson. Safety is my top priority. This will be my last time to joining a teambuilding or plan any vacation at Jerejak Island
