Kindly take note on the following should you now considering this place;
1. This place is entirely away from others, takes 25 minutes at normal drive speed (not slow speed) to reach the town.
* You may have difficulties to find a lunch and dinner place, do some shopping, get a beach view and feel like in Port Dickson - got to drive out and in few times (and far) for those.
2. They might tell you that they have walking distance beach (this was happen to me when I called them prior to the visit) - actually no, they don’t.
Upon check in, I have reconfirm this with the concierge, he confirmed that there is nearby beach but suggested me to drive through hotel’s outside perimeter as I may be attacked by monkeys should I choose to walk through hotel’s back gate. However, once I reached, the beach isn’t suitable to swim, dirty and spooky.
* My advice: Leave no choice, you have to drive to nearest public beach which I think about 10minutes away for sea-water activities.
3. The breakfast is very basic, yes, very basic.
* My advice: You may one to pay the room without breakfast rate, and make some food available for breakfast in your own room. You will save some money this way too, anyway.
4. I have stayed in Tepee type of room, the room itself is very unique, nice, safe and memorable. However, it may get too quiet if you travel in small group. It was 4 of us, stayed in 2 separate Tepee room next to each other while all other Tepees were vacant - our feeling? was like having camp in the middle of a thick jungle.
* You may feel the same too if you choose other room’s type, it is purely the matter of group’s size should you choose to stay here. You will be absolutely fine if you are a camp, jungle tracker and adventurous person.
5. There are so many exciting activities in this place, paint ball, team building, horse riding and everything about being away from city.
* My advice: Don’t go to this place for honeymoon, you are required to have minimum of 15 person per group to conduct each activity (mostly). Say for a family of 4 (2 adult + 2 kids), this is just the wrong place.
6. Did I already mention the breakfast is horrible? Err.. sorry, basic, very basic.
7. Swimming pool, is nice and clean. Girls; take note that they are very strict on the attire. No t-shirt, no tudung, no baju kurung no baju kebaya, and no track suit are allowed. The pool keeper is the king here.
8. Day time is very hot as you are like shined directly by sun, huge wide area with some flies keep following you while walking - just like cowboy town. Unless you are in the hotel’s room being on the bed with the air-cond running and the tv on. Holding a glass of chilled cola, with your favorite junk food in the other hand (you have the right to choose which hand). Don’t forget the ipod too.
9. For techy travelers; do not dream of enjoying wi-fi connection here. Some major local broadband service do not support at this area too.
I personally believe this place is meant for huge group of having team building exercise, could be from corporate, school or government. However, they will still accept FIT (a common term called for normal traveler just like us) as the side business to keep their revenue on par. Again, by saying that, couple traveler (just like me) will prefer to choose beach hotel should I visit this area again. Well, why are we in PD if not the beach aren’t we?

Overall a good experience. Unique room and we should have more of this type of resort here. Great place to get away from city hustle and bustle. Slightly far from the town but it's okay. Good for family.

Checkin - reception couldnt locate my Cuti reservation and asked me to pay for the stay, which agreed to, no choice !! Eagle Ranch promised to refund back later once payment are made by Cuti.
However till todate no refunds are made and Cuti nor Eagle Ranch made an effort to update or refund.
So, beware, contact the hotel to confirm the reservation before leaving home to yr vacation spots !!
Resort - what I hate the most is flies during morning brfst, they're virtually everywhere, on yr food, tables etc.. ended leaving early.

The check-in is very slow because few walk-in guests that check on the rate. Customer who already make the booking and have payment in advance have to queue behind them to get the room key. The room was only ready at 5PM. The bandwagon room is OK, except some of the bulbs not working. Do not complain because there is no internal phone available in the room. The room is clean and air-cond is pretty cool (which I set it very low because a lot of mosquitos.
The life guard in the swimming pool 100% not friendly and keep on shouting & scolding children. He should do it in a more polite way. Moreover, children are waiting for him to do the pool cleaning at 9.30AM. He should done it more early and children wake up early just for the swimming pool.
The breakfast have not much of choice and it only serve start from 8AM. The hotel management should consider to change it.

Have some problem using cuti voucher for checking in but it was resolved after negotiations. Kids enjoys the stay - plenty of activities. Downside since it was peak season - larger crowd, ends up full house for breakfast (8 - 10am) and have to wait more than 30mins for a table. Suggest for longer hours (7am - 10am) and arrange for additional table outside the dining hall will definitely help!

1. Accomodation - Unique & good
2. Location - Remote & quite far from other places
3. Food - Mouth-watering
4. Staff - Helpful
5. Facilities 4 outdoor activities - Large variety (as in the website)
Only thing is that the dining place (Watering Hole) is designed as bar (maybe to suit the 'cowboy' concept) but certainly not a suitable place 4 children to have their meals. Please consider change.

Time to comment...
Date : Saturday (14/6/2008)
Wentto Eagle Ranch with my collegues to do a team builing activity. the activity went well with encik Zainal doing his best to teach us how to build a raft using bamboo and ropes.
However, after the activity, we were left by ourselves to find the shower.there is no direction to the showers and after finding the shower place which was in use by a group of school kids for camping...the shower place is dirty with bars of soaps lying on the floor, bottles of empty shampoo scattered all over the sink...and many other things that will remind you of thoose days in 'tandas asrama'.hehehe...
After the showers,we proceed to Watering Hole (the name of the restaurant). no signage as usual...
But, all is not lost here as i would like to give 5 star rating on the food.it was good.i mean really good...ho i wish i have a bigger stomach to fill in all those foods.
overall, Eagle Ranch Resort is a nice place to do lots of outdoor activities.the facilities are well maintained but with enough signage, directions and maintenance this place will be perfect.

Well, first of all, when my husband mentioned it to me about this place i was very sceptical..for, going to the beach is our sole reason for going to pd..but then upon arrival, we arrived earlier than the check in time but we do not wish to be given room immediately, however, the lobby staff aka, check in counter lady, told us that our room will be ready shortly..i was like "wow" that's good.. they r friendly, very2 helpful n our xperience staying there was quite enjoyable..well the breakfast menu was quite limited but with what we're paying i think thats good enuff afterall how much can u eat?
the surrounding is very calming..i like the idea that this place is compact, u don't have to walk too far(or even drive out from the resort) to go for gokart, or archery, or paintball, or beach volleyball..its like minutes walk from where we're staying..
all in all, everything is very very very satisfactory!!
Good job guys!! Keep it up!!

I have my worst nightmare-none of my family members satisfied with my choice. First: Check in was horrible-I can only check in after 3pm at first and then I was told the room is not clear yet, I have to wait another 30 minutes. No courtesy at all to offer some drinks eventhough they have some on the counter and later I was informed the welcome drinks only for groups.I can't cancel bcoz they will charge my card.
2nd: After all the hassle, the Kampong House was flat dead-with minimal accomodation-one bed, one desk, one TV, one kettle(with only ONE 3 in 1 coffee and tea) and the pond-is like a swamp(shallow, green, 2/3 big fish) and no phone.
3rd:the pools-kid pool is like a duck pool(5 kids will cover the whole pool-lucky my girl didn't bring her crocodile), adults'-ok but still have to wait until the whole team of 'water polo' left the pool and jacuzi-mmmmm. One thing good though, the breeze is fresh and cool.
4th: It's far away from the beach, Telok Kemang, any civilization.
5th: Breakfast-fried mee, porridge with minimal condiment, chop in three hotdog, not so fresh bread, cut in 2 harshbrown, coffee, ribena, did I leave anything? Nope thats all for the breakfast!
The hotel is only suit those come in groups, I guess, and the horse ride-ok for RM10. The most important-my family didn't enjoy it and we left PD feeling tired. What I can say, this is my first worst holiday nightmare.
