2007-09-11 21:57:36   erichai1976   my family and i went to pulau langkwai last month.when we check in to this hotel, the receptionist sid must pay RM100 for deposite.so i give her my credit card.before that, i already paid all the hotel fees RM976 for 4 days 3 nights.ok.she said the deposite will not be charge in my credit card payment.because when i check out, the deposite will give back to me.i very regret why no pay cash to her.until i come back to my home and i received my credit card payment bill, the RM100 already charge in my bill. so i phone to this hotel, the duty manager said will refund back for me and asks me to fax to her the credit card payment bill.so i good out and do that for RM5 to fax.after that, awana porto malai received the fax and didnt call me until i call them at 3pm.i am very not saticfy for the service in this hotel.i have been lay because when i check out,they said to me twice not be charge in the credit card for deposite in RM 100.i angry not for the money, but the service.i feel i "kena tipu" and i call them they do not settle my problem.they give me the problem.the duty manager Sheima also very no manners vhen talk to their guest. i really feel very unhappy and sad because if this thing happen to hte foreign visitors, how they will think with our country.besides 2007 is visit malaysia year.i really cannot understand how can the hotel pay for the unuseful people to incharge infront counter the awana porto malai hotel. lastly, i would like to tell all of u dont go they anymore.i believe and strong believe malaysia boleh but the reality tell me it is wrong. 2007-09-02 10:53:19   namal   Its quite fantastic - very satisfied with the room; seaview option (deluxe), quite big and comfortable. The meals are nice. Suitable option for family vacation also. Its nearby bot jetty, for island trip to Dayang Bunting lake, Beras basah Island and Eagle Feeding trip. The location is not far from the food central at Cenang Beach (Pantai Cenang) and Underwater World. Just take 10 mins from Awana to those location. But need to use car. 15 mins from Langkawi Airport, and 30 mins from Kuah Town. Date of stay: 2007 Aug

2007-06-21 14:56:17   zahiela   i come for 1st time for honeymoon. we take lovers package and its very lovely and very wonderful. the room was great , the island hoping was good and the services for staff very helpful. tq for the great memory when i was there. we have stay for 3 d and 2 n..we are so enjoy till my hubby add for 1 night.. i recommed who ever wants to stay here..awana porto malai..more comfortable and peace!! The Band is good, a lot of romantic english and chinese song is presented. Breakfast is good. It's a great hotel in view of the hotel rating and room rates. Date of stay: 2006 Dec

They tend to avoid/show no interest to better help when i request to change room and etc. And another setback is all the standard room is link to one another with a door in between, feel very unsafe. Yes, the food is awful....both breakfast and dinner, not much choices, food are not fresh. Date of stay: 2006 Nov

2006-11-19 19:49:02   seanchin   Good and comfortable stay. The std rooms are very spacious and has a little kitchenette which is very convenient for families. The hotel pool is very nice, especially for children. it has also good access to nearby islands for sightseeing. The only regret is the hotel doesn't have a stretch of beach of its own, although it is only a short drive to Cenang Beach nearby. Date of stay: 2006 Nov

2006-11-09 17:47:21   lizawaty   First time i went to Langkawi and stayed at Porto Malai.My room opposite sea view.The view very2 beautiful and my husband really enjoyed it.I just stayed at there only for one night but we allocate our time to enjoy the moment like island hopping (pulau dayang bunting/pulau singa besar and pulau beras basah),and so on.Only the food just OK.I hope i and my family will stay at Awana too.
