This resort is nestled deep in a Malay traditional village where its very quiet and peaceful. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore can be heard from certain units. The beach is just a short walk from the resort. I would say the pictures posted on this website are rather old. The resort is not as well maintained as it should be, but it's clean enough. If you're not up for hotel food, I suggest you bring your own before entering the hotel. Otherwise, you'll have to cycle out to town, which is about 2km. It's advisable that you return before sunset because the road leading to the resort has no street lamps. Its totally pitch black. If you have to stay in town till dark, get a torchlight so that you don't cycle off course. It's just jungle on either sides of that narrow road you'll be cycling on. Other than that, I felt totally relaxed after my stay here at Aryani. The staff were so friendly and obliging. I will definitely return, this time stocked up with food that will last me my entire stay.
