The par-72 18-hole championship golf course consists of the Palma and Rimba Nines. Being a resort course, it is designed to allow golfers to play a relaxing game. But rest assured it is difficult, challenging and the monsoon season plays havoc with the club selection and your score cards. Even professionals found the going difficult on this golf course, especially on the Rimba Nine. The 15th 480 yards par 4 is particularly a jinx hole for pros. Professionals found that after playing well on 14 holes, they fumbled very badly on the 15th dropping 8-10 strokes.

we had bad exprience in awana kijal. blackout twice during our stay there, the best part is i was on fever. the staff was really courteous but its really dissappointing when the hotel blackout without any reason specially when we had our dinner in the room. other than tt is ok. the beach is really nice and well maintained.

Apart from the fact that this hotel is located separately from other interesting places, you could find the service & facilities are next to nothing. Came here twice in 2007-5days each, I could just said it is definitely value for money. Considerably lenient in allowing customers especially children with scarf to access swimming pool facility. Will come back when possible.

Every year, we make sure that we stay at the hotel for a night or two. I love the 6 or 7-storey high skylight ceiling. The staff are locals and so friendly. The first time we went there was in 2000 and the hotel keeps on improving. Recently it cordoned off its swimming pool and there’s only one entrance. This is good because previously some irresponsible hotel guests who came back from the beach would just jump into the pool without showering or cleaning themselves first. We really love this place. We’ll be smiling every time we enter its archway and every time we leave, we know we’ll coming back.

Stayed here for one whole week and we Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! The room's good. Clean, really spacious, the bed was big and comfy. Our room was the one with a bathtub in the room. But the closet door was broken, maintenance should have looked into this before guests checking in.
Food was really good. A LOT of variety and the taste is rather good, pretty tasty. In fact, a lot more compared to that awfully expensive Westin Langkawi and other 5-star KL hotels we've been to. I think i gained 1kg throughout our entire stay..
The staffs are always so friendly. The beach is so beautiful, unlike the stretch at The Legend Cherating. The pool is huge. Free internet at the lobby. What more can i say? The place is just so right.

I came here for 3 days 2 nights and it has been one of the best hotel i stay in, around Malaysia, the hotel has done a great job at maintaining the facilities to give customers the best. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable, everything has a standard to it. From the breakfast, lobby, swimming pool to the room it was great.
Not to forget the beach is clean and well maintain.
For a great holiday, come and try it out yourself.

this is one of the best resort ive ever stay! the environment and the staff is very extremely nice. the room is superb! one thing i like the most is the bathroom and the bathtub wic located near the window, in front of TV n beside the bed. extremely cool! i will definately stay again and i dun mind paying extra cash for tip top service they provide. :)

Saya menetap di deluxe suite bersama isteri dan 2 orang bayi kembar berumur 4 bulan. Ini adalah kali kedua saya ke sini. Kali pertama ketika honeymoon. Sangat menyeronokkan. Segala-gala nya ada disini. Bolatampar pantai, bolasepak pantai, bot, hiburan malam, sarapan yang menyelerakan (nasi dagang mmg best), serba mewah dan pendek kata tiada kemurungan apabila anda berada di sini. Kolan renang amat menyeronokkan. privacy anda terjamin di sini. Golf pon ada. agak2 nak makan murah boleh pergi ke pekan chukai. tak jauh dah.

Normally end up at Awana Kijal whenever I head for Kerteh for business.
Good place to stay, food variety is alright, beach secluded (a must for shy people like me).
And just if you decide you want to buy food outside of the hotel, there's a convenient row of shoplots just a walk down to the main road. The western food restaurant there is excellent! And it doesn't hurt that the old trusty KFC is also around the corner!
