The trip to Pulai Desaru was OK but am very disappointed with the room and the building, not worth for RM280++ per night.
Its an old hotel. The room is big and poorly maintained. The hotel food is horrible. Thankfully the beach and pool is beautiful.

I booked 2 connecting room facing the pool.
Rooms has loads of space. The 4 of us could most likely fit into 1 room. Carpet kinda old but clean. Not much choice at breakfast.

Nice, clean big room. Very big bathroom. Furniture a bit old, TV did not have good reception although selected astro program is there. A bit pricey for the location. Nice pool for kids and adults. Clean and pristine beach a walk away. Good for relaxation as not much other activity nearby. Paid game area is good and have a free kiddie club near the reception.

Very nice hotel.
After long hours of driving from KL, we were suprised with the spacious hotel room. It can accomodate with 4 adults actually.
Check in was fast & staff were friendly. My kids really enjoy their stay especially they have a lot of activities such as free movie, pool table, table tennis & others.
The pool was big & beach is clean. However we unable to go to the beach due to the sea condition is very rough. Our room is facing direct to the sea & we REALLY enjoy our stay in Pulai Desaru.
The food is okay & acceptable.
Will come again to this resort.......

After searching thr' the internet, I decided to drive up and "see first" decide later over Desaru Beach hotel or Pulai. My Priority 1, safety of vehicle - not uncommon vehicle stolen. second, condition of hotel, food, facility, service etc., Parking security ok. as and when driving in or out, the security gate officer will issue a pass to facilite Ur vehicle in or out of the resort; I'm satisified with it.
Next, staff service is acceptable and quite responsive (I managed to converse in Malay). Condition of room, oh, foul smell, bed extremely soft or worn out, blanket and bed sheets alot of stains could be blood stain or what you could imagine ! Balcony cannot be use b'cos the A/con compressor unit is also placed there, imagine the hot air blowing, furthermore, very dusty, and lots of dirt on the floor,chairs and table. Tap Water is brownish in color. we only drink bottle mineral water. Ants can be found everywhere.
But overall, lower your expection, and you won't be too dissappointed. It is the best among any other hotels available there.
The beach is bad, and sand is black in color, no way you can swim cos' the beach is very rocky. I took the Pool view room for RM 330 saturday to sunday.
Lastly, lower your expectation and you won't be dissappointed. I do not recommend people for honeymoon, dating overnite stay. Check the itenary, fireflies seeing, movie and ......

I just returned from my vacation at this hotel recently. I went to stay in this hotel in early May 2008. I booked for deluxe poolview and the loft suite poolview for 2 nights. Both are spacious and nice. The BBQ Dinner was great. The staffs are very friendly, everytime I walk passby them, they will smile at me.. Although I would say that the hotel is located at a secluded area n it's a tiring drive I have to come all along from perak, but the hospitality rendered to me n my family by the hotel staffs plus the nice room have rejuvenated me. I enjoyed myself with the live band/perfomance and the starlight cinema. Overall, I really enjoyed my 3D2N stay in this hotel. I would definitely come again to this hotel whenever I go to desaru.

Very nice place to relax. This is my 2nd time here. We book 3 room with pool view .... and all the room are clean and very comfortable. Really enjoy the activity such as play ping pong and also watching movie under the coconut tree.
The pool is nice and enjoyable...especially the slide pool. We enjoy our visit very much. Hope to go there again next time.

Overall stay was good.Room are clean & spacious.Staff are friendly as my family managed to upgrade to a seaview/pool view in a short period.
Dislike the garden view room.
Breakfast was o.k. The pool & beaches was nice & clean for my family.This is my third visit.

Overall the service was o.k and the staff friendly. I was satisfiedand enjoy the holiday. My baby and hubby also enjoy the holiday. The management maybe should provide room service and lack of coffee & tea making. The swimming pool is o.k and we have a great time with the swimming pool. The room is clean..... and convinience for guest with baby coz the room provide wash basin saperately. I would love to comeback again and hope they would improved their service.

Rooms v spacious & clean. Huge bathroom - also v clean. My toddler loved the children's playroom in the lobby - well stocked with Little Tikes toys (tip for hotel - can keep the playroom cleaner - tissues, empty boxes lying around and dusty). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
