Amphoe Bo Rai
This district used to be the major source of Siamese rubies and today a few gem markets can still be seen. There are also many beautiful waterfalls, particularly Namtok Khlong Kaeo and Namtok Saladdai.
Namtok Khlong Kaeo National Park
The National Park’s seven-tier waterfall is situated 8 km. offHighway No. 3157 at Amphoe Bo Rai. Here, visitors will be amazed by a rare kind of orchid called Lueang Chan Orchid. Contact the National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department.

Ko Chang Naval Battle Memorial
Situated at Amphoe Laem Ngop, 17 km. from Trat town along Highway No. 3184, the Memorial commemorates a Franco-Thai naval engagement on 17 January 1941. There is also a Statue of Kromluang Chumphon, the ‘Father of the Royal Thai Navy’, and a warship-shaped museum with exhibits of the battle.
Tan Khu Bay
Located 12 km. from Laem Ngop, this bay has a fine sandy beach.
Ban Hat Lek
This border village on Highway No. 318 in Amphoe Khlong Yai has become a channel for Thai-Cambodian trading. There is an immigration checkpoint at the border, although visitors wishing to enter Cambodia must apply for a visa at the Cambodian Embassy in advance.
