Wat Yai Inthraram
Wat Yai Inthraram is an old temple built in the Ayutthaya period in that distinctive style. This is evident from the Ubosot (ordination hall) and Wihan (image hall) with their unique curved bases, and from the carved wooden door panels at the Mondop (square building with a pyramidal roof) over the Holy Footprints of the Lord Buddha. The Ubosot itself was renovated during the reign of King Rama lll using glassware to adorn the gables and windows. Within the Ubosot are murals covering the entire four walls which have been continuously restored over the years. In front of the temple stands a statue of King Taksin the Great. It is said that the king used to stop here on the way to set up his base in Chanthaburi during the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767.

Ang Sila
Located about 5 km. from Chon Buri town, Ang Sila is a traditional fishing village, although its more famous for its craftsmen skilled in making implements from granite, especially mortars and pestles typically used in Thai kitchens.

Khao Sam Muk
This low hillock, situated between Ang Sila and Hat Bang Saen, is a habitat for scores of wild monkeys, while the hilltop affords a panoramic view of Hat Bang Saen. At the foot of the hill are Thai and Chinese shrines.

Bang Saen Beach
Lying 14 km. from Chon Buri town, Bang Saen is a popular weekend beach resort, although it can be blissfully quiet during weekdays. Fronting the beach are hotels, bungalows and food shops, as well as recreational gear and bicycles for rent.

Nong Mon Market
On Sukhumvit Road near the entrance road to Bang Saen Beach, Nong Mon Market offers a wide range of local products, including fresh and preserved food varieties. Some of the food favourites are dried seafood, glutionous rice baked in bamboo (khao lam), spicy steamed fish cakes (ho mok), and deep fried shrimp cakes (hoi cho).
