Kuala Lumpur Bird Park
A wonder world of birds and a tropical paradise not be missed by
all. Located in the serene and scenic famous Lake Gardens, only
10 minutes from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.
KL Bird Park is well known worldwide as "The World's Largest Covered
Bird Park" or "The World's Largest Free Flight Aviary", home to
more than 3000 birds from approximately 200 species of local and
worldwide birds.

The KL Bird Park was established in 1991 and was officially opened
by Her Majesty Queen of Malaysia, Tunku Bainun. It was since managed
by DBKL (City Hall) until 1st July 2001 whereby it was taken over
by Safari Bird Park & Wonderland Sdn Bhd as the New Management of
KL Bird Park.
Sprawling approximately 20.9 acres of verdant valley terrain, visitors
will have an exciting experience of watching colourful and melodic
birds perching and winging about freely while relaxing in a natural
and beautifully landscaped surrounding.
One of KL Bird Park's most extraordinary feature is all birds are
let free in the aviary which resemble the natural habitat. There
are more than 3000 birds from hundreds of species with a variety
of shapes, sizes, colours and sounds perching and winging about
freely - in a totally natural and beautifully lanscaped environment.
Here, you will enjoy watching birds such as Majiestic Hornbills,
Flamingos, Parrots, Cockatoos, Storks, Pheasants, Mynahs, Pigeons,
Macaws, Ducks, Waterhens and many more.
All of them came from countries like Australia, Papua New Guinea,
Thailand, Indonesia, Tanzania, China, Holland, Africa, South America,
South East Asia and of course, Malaysia. With this type of tree
flightconcept, birds are able to breed naturally in this unique
concept bird park.
